The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia blasted off the starting grid in 2003 and has never looked back. It has quickly become the premier sportscar series in the region with a massive fan and media following, proving itself to be a highly competitive and professional racing series, earning an enormous international reputation.
The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia features sprint events with a typical race duration of around 30 minutes. All teams run identical examples of the 911 GT3 Cup – the racing version of the 911 GT3. This format provides a perfect showcase for the respective apabilities of the drivers and teams. The result is hard-fought racing of the highest standard, all the way from the lights to the chequered flag. As well as organising the events, Porsche supplies the race prepared cars and provides trackside support for drivers, teams and sponsors.
