-15°C. A freezing snow cover. The ideal conditions for some driving fun.
So far, you have avoided particular streets in winter for reasons of safety? In controlled conditions, the Porsche instructors will confront you with critical situations likely to occur in road traffic. You will be prepared for wintry conditions in a targeted manner. One thing will certainly not be lacking: driving pleasure. In a Porsche.
The Ice training offers also provide the option of entering the Porsche Sport Driving School with a Precision training.
And you can of course either hire a Porsche vehicle or participate using your own. It goes without saying that we will provide the vehicles for participation in the Camp4/Camp4S on the Arctic Circle.
| Duration: | course lasting several days for first-time participants. |
|---|---|
| Requirements: | none. |
| Learning goals: | Fifteen degrees below zero. Ice. Hard-packed snow. Ideal conditions for pure driving pleasure – if you know how to control your car. |
| You can also choose the Precisioncourse as an introduction to the Ice training category. First of all, it teaches you the basics of driving in treacherous conditions. This will prepare you specifically for the situation in winter. | |
| In the theory lessons, you are given detailed information on the basics of driving safety and driving dynamics. The Porsche instructors work on special techniques with you for driving safely on snow and ice. In addition, you practise developing your so-called ‘muscle memory’. As in dangerous situations you generally don’t have enough time to think about the right reaction, you have to be able to dependon your intuition. Turning these reactions into reflexes means: practice, practice and yet more practice. | |
| Have you ever found yourself avoiding some roads in winterbecause you felt unsafe? Under controlled conditions, the Porsche instructors confront you with critical situations that can occur at any time. You learn proper braking, changing direction and hill starts on low-traction surfaces. But the training goes far beyond increasing your driving safety. Under professional guidance, you practise how to use load-changing responses for safer driving. Apart from this, our professionals demonstrate the racing line on slopes and introduce you to slalom driving on slippery surfaces. | |
| And, naturally, as a standard part of the course, our instructors also make an individual assessment of your driving style. | |
| The courses are held at the Alpine Driving Center in Lungau (Austria) and, in cooperation with the Porsche Travel Club, at Camp4 in Rovaniemi (Finland). You must have completed a Precision training course before you can participate in the Performance training. |
