Offering a combination of meandering country roads and long stretches of motorway, an exhilarating drive is guaranteed. Head south from Ludwigsburg, stopping off to visit the famous Neuschwanstein Castle and the Bavarian capital, Munich, along the way. Admire the panoramic Alpine scenery at Lake Constance before continuing on to another impressive highlight: the Black Forest Ridgeway. Pass through some stunning scenery on your journey through the historic towns of Heidelberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Nuremberg. Arrive in Ludwigsburg to collect your Porsche sportscar before setting off along the motorway to Munich. Check-in at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you have some free time to explore Munich at your leisure. In the evening, visit the Hofbräuhaus beer hall (in July) or the Oktoberfest (in September).
Drive around Lake Starnberg to Murnau on Lake Staffelsee, where you break for lunch and enjoy spectacular views of the mountains and the Murnauer Moos nature conservation area. Drive along the German Alpine Road to the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle built by King Ludwig II before spending the night in a nearby hotel.
Drive through the Allgäu towards the mighty Alps, heralded by the sight of the Hahntennjoch Pass at a height of 1,894 metres. Savour the impressive scenery and charming route on the journey to your destination for the night, the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in the island town of Lindau on Lake Constance. Soak up the atmosphere of one of Europe’s most idyllic border regions on a boat trip with dinner on board.
The island town of Lindau on Lake ConstanceAfter the twisting mountain roads of the previous day, this leg of the tour offers a mix of country roads and fast stretches of motorway. Stop for lunch at the Traube Tonbach restaurant in Baiersbronn before heading along the idyllic Black Forest Ridgeway to Baden- Baden. Continue along the motorway to the venerable university town of Heidelberg. Enjoy dinner in the town centre before retiring to your wellappointed room at the Europäischer Hof Hotel.
Spend the day exploring Heidelberg. Home to Germany’s oldest university, the town is also famous for its romantic castle ruins. After visiting Heidelberg Castle in the morning, you are free to spend the rest of the day as you please – browsing through the shops or strolling around the winding lanes of the old town.
Take a journey back in time in one of our Porsche sportscars, driving through the magnificent Neckar Valley and along the Swabian Wine Route to the medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Soak up the distinctive atmosphere of the town whose medieval town walls are mostly still intact. After a medieval banquet and a stroll around the town, continue on to your next destination, the Le Meridien Grand Hotel in Nuremberg.
The final day of the tour includes a visit to the former site of the Nuremberg Rallies, followed by the opportunity to do some shopping in Nuremberg. After lunch, savour every mile in one of our Porsche sportscars on the way back to Ludwigsburg for individual departure.
