Reigning champ sports new-look PorscheCraig Baird to feature ARVO 51 livery at Bathurst and Gold Coast

Reigning Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia champion and current points leader Craig Baird will contest this weekend’s Bathurst round featuring branding from a new premium Australian lager, ARVO 51.

The New Zealander’s new-look Porsche will remain in the striking ARVO 51 livery for the Bathurst and Gold Coast rounds before reverting back to its familiar Jet Travel Insurance livery for the season finale at Sydney Olympic Park.

The change in livery was initiated by car owner, Alliance Group owner Rennie de Maria, who offered the branding of his front-running Porsche to help promote the newest product from one of his major clients, Casella.

ARVO 51, produced by Casella, was officially announced on Tuesday. The new beer brand is the newest fixture in the company’s portfolio, which also includes the popular wine label, [yellow tail].

Baird is now eager to return to Mount Panorama with the impressive new livery, which also retains significant signage from continued sponsor, Jet Travel Insurance.

“The ARVO 51 Porsche looks amazing and it’s great to have a brand like ARVO on board,” said Baird.

“It’s coming down to the business end of the season and the Bathurst and Gold Coast rounds are among my favourite of the season, so I’m hoping we’ll have a strong run home for the last three rounds.”

Baird will also partner with Lee Holdsworth in the IRWIN Racing V8 Supercar in the iconic Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 event at Mount Panorama.

“Double duty is never easy, but I’ve done it many times before and I’m looking forward to doing my very best in both Carrera Cup and V8 Supercars at Mount Panorama,” said Baird.

The Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia field, including Baird in the ARVO 51 Porsche, will first hit the track for its opening practice session for the Bathurst round on Thursday October 04.
