The latest high performance Porsche with the RS badge takes a radical departure from its predecessors – not least being its lack of an engine and only two wheels instead of four.
Introducing the Porsche Bike RS – the ultimate expression in lightweight technology, design purity, ergonomics and performance.
The Bike RS features extensive use of carbon fibre; primarily the frame, forks, handlebars, stem and seat post. Precision equipment includes Shimano XTR 20 speed gearing, Magura hydraulic disc brakes and 29-inch wheels from Crank Brothers.
The lightweight carbon fibre frame is designed to offer maximum stability and damping characteristics while the smooth-rolling tyres provide a quiet ride and superior traction.
Its unique, tapered design and grey finish with contrasting anodised cobalt blue highlights gives the two-wheeled Porsche an elegant yet sporty look.
The Bike RS weighs in at approximately 9 kgs and comes in sizes Small, Medium and Large. It is available for order from all official Porsche Centres priced at $11,133.
Complementing the Bike RS is the Bike S model, priced at $6,227.
The S features a high-performance frame made of 7005 hydroforming aluminium, carbon fibre forks, hydraulic disc brakes and different design 29-inch wheels. Power drive is through a Shimano 11-speed Alfine internal hub gear system with a low-wear geared belt drive.
The Porsche Bike S weighs approximately 11 kgs and is also available in Small, Medium and Large.
