Porsche Cars Australia announces pricing for all-new Cayenne -Sportier, more frugal, all-new SUV now even better value.
Australia. Porsche’s all-new Cayenne range will arrive in Australia boasting higher levels of standard equipment, sportier performance than before and fuel saving reductions of up to 23 per cent; yet with prices barely changed from the out-going model.
Porsche Cars Australia has managed to restrict the premium for the new model to around one percent, despite the SUV bringing up to $12,000 more in standard equipment and a suite of hi-tech improvements.
The all-new Cayenne range – headlined by the S Hybrid model – goes on sale in Australia on July 24th.
Initial models offered will be the high-end versions: the V8 Cayenne S, the V6 Cayenne S Hybrid and twin-turbocharged V8 Cayenne Turbo. Completing the five-model line-up in late August will be the V6 petrol and V6 diesel versions, respectively.
“From a design, engineering and sporty driving point of view we’ve made a great car even better,” says Porsche Cars Australia Managing Director, Michael Winkler. “To showcase our Hybrid technology and add more equipment across the model range to improve the price-value relationship is also extremely positive.”
The Cayenne S Hybrid – priced from $159,900 – has fuel consumption in the new European Driving Cycle of just 8.2 litres/100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of just 193 g/km.
The principle of “Porsche Intelligent Performance” has also resulted in greater efficiencies through the introduction of a new eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox, extra-light all-wheel drive system and a weight reduction of up to 180 kg (on the Cayenne S). These efficiencies come despite an increase in product substance, greater interior space and an even higher standard of safety.
