Porsche has again performed highly in a J.D. Power survey, taking second place outright and judged the best European brand in the latest “Initial Quality Study” report released yesterday.
The J.D. Power “Initial Quality Survey” is regarded as the benchmark survey in measuring customer satisfaction amongst new car owners.
Porsche’s strong result continues the sports car maker’s superb performance in the survey, following three consecutive years of being rated number one.
“Three first and a second place in the brand evaluation of the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study over the last four years is the result of consistent quality work and customer focus during development, in production and in sales,” says Frank Tuch, head of Company Quality at Porsche.
“The award demonstrates that our sustainability strategy continues to pay off. The challenge is not to achieve high-quality standards on short notice, but rather to sustain these over the course of years. There is hard work behind this. The high degree of satisfaction of the Porsche customers is a reflection of the new car quality.”
J.D. Power reviewed the satisfaction of new car buyers in the USA after the first 90 days of taking delivery of their vehicles. Based upon a catalogue containing a total of 228 criteria, nearly 81,000 customers were asked about their impressions concerning quality and workmanship.
