Panamera Edition: Gran Turismo with extensive standard featuresSpecial edition Panamera for Australia

Australia. Porsche goes into the 2016 model year with the introduction of three new ‘Edition’ models of the Panamera – all offering significantly higher levels of standard equipment at no additional price.

The new Panamera Edition with rear drive and Panamera 4 Edition with all-wheel drive are powered by Porsche’s own V6 petrol engine developing 228 kW, while the Panamera Diesel Edition features the acclaimed 221 kW V6 diesel engine.

The Panamera plays an important role for Porsche in offering a gran turismo sports driving experience for customers who need their sports cars with more than two doors, while its sales success since its introduction in has contributed to Porsche’s strong financial position to allow it to keep building the world’s best sports cars.

In 2014 a total of 24,864 Panamera models were sold worldwide. In Australia the Panamera has been a solid contributor to Porsche’s growth since its introduction in 2010 with a market share of approximately 10 per cent against its key competitors, which is consistent with the market share of Porsche’s Cayenne and Macan models.

The superior specification will ensure Panamera remains a popular choice for discerning customers. Included as standard on all Australian models are 19-inch Panamera Turbo II wheels with coloured Porsche crest wheel centres, LED head lights including Porsche Dynamic Lighting System (PDLS) Plus, adaptive air suspension including PASM, reverse camera including Surround View offering 360-degree vision to aid parking, digital radio, comfort memory package with 14-way adjustment for front seats and power steering plus.

Black window surrounds give the Panamera Edition models added subtlety, along with ‘Edition’ on the door sills. A bi-colour Black-Luxor Beige interior with the Porsche crest embossed on all head rests and Sport Design steering wheel add to the distinctive enhancements.

The Panamera Edition models go on sale in Australia in mid July with deliveries beginning late September.
