Premium quality of Porsche attested by American customersPorsche races to first place in satisfaction survey
Porsche has taken first place in the “Initial Quality Study” presented in Detroit on June 19 by the renowned American market research company J.D. Power and Associates.
“Porsche stands for sportiness and performance,” said Matthias Müller, President and CEO of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. “We are pleased to see that our equally high levels of quality in design, development and production have also been confirmed with these awards.”
Alongside the Porsche brand, customers in the USA voted the Porsche 911 – which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year – to top place in the J.D. Power Award as the vehicle with the highest customer satisfaction in the “Midsize Premium Sporty Car” segment.
The mid-engined Porsche Boxster also came in first in its category and received the “Highest Initial Quality – Compact Premium Sports Car” award.
Also in the customer survey both the sporty SUV Cayenne and Gran Turismo Panamera placed on the podium – attaining third place in the “Midsize Premium CUV” and “Large Premium Car” segments, respectively.
These are the best overall results for Porsche in company history in the “Initial Quality Survey.”
The survey of more than 83,000 American car buyers forms the basis for the “Initial Quality Study”, which is conducted once annually.
Buyers indicate how satisfied they are with the quality of their new cars during the first three months of ownership.
The study evaluates a total of 230 vehicle models from 33 car makers, which were initially registered between November 2012 and February 2013.
The owners answered questions on over 230 criteria from different categories.
